Press Release - Champion Sailor Greg Griffin Join Sailing Inc / Evolution Sails
Cleveland, Ohio - Sailing Inc, a trusted provider of premium sailing and marine products, services and support, welcomes Greg Griffin to build upon their efforts in providing the best sails, service and support for Cruising, Racing and One Design sailors in the United States. Griffin lays claims to multiple National and North American Championships including the Thistle, Lightning and Tartan 10, to go along with countless regional and local championships.
Griffin will join our Evolution Sails team in the Southeast region of the US, while working closely with our teams in the Midwest and South Atlantic. Griffin will focus on Sailing Inc.’s mission of building a stronger relationship between the sailor and the sailmaker, leveraging Evolution Sails championship-caliber sail design and production teams to deliver high-performance, long-lasting cruising and racing sails built by one of the world’s most innovative sailmakers.
“I plan to serve as a conduit of knowledge as I support one-design and cruising sailors throughout the Southeast and across the country,” says Griffin. “I am excited to be a part of the experienced and talented team that is forming at Sailing Inc. powered by Evolution Sails.”
Griffin continues, “I am truly grateful for both the growth in my sailing IQ and also lifelong relationships that I have developed with the people at Quantum sails over the past decade. I wish them the best. The opportunity to rejoin my mentor and longtime friend of over 35 years, Greg Fisher, is a dream come true. I’m excited to continue my sailing development and growth with one of the most respected and accomplished one-design sailors in the world.”
Griffin has been a staple of One Design sailing for over 40 years, working with fellow industry legends like Greg Fisher, among others, on building successful sailmaking brands and providing unparalleled support to customers, friends and family within the sailing community. Griffin has a passion for leadership, coaching and mentorship in the sport he loves. He has led numerous coaching clinics to help others expand their knowledge of sailing and held class leadership positions in an effort to help maintain and grow those sailing organizations. He looks to continue to share his expert knowledge of regatta planning, rules, strategy and tactics with the sailing community.
